The Clara Ford Foundation collaborates with the Hammonds House Museum to produce the Clara Ford Quilt Lecture series. The lecture series is intended to provide an educational forum for those interested in the art of quilting. It is made possible by a grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Lectures are held annually in conjunction with the Atlanta Quilt Festival  during the  month of August each year. Carole Lyles Shaw is the featured quilter for 2016.

Carolyn L. Mazloomi was featured in 2009. Judy Tipton Rush was featured in 2010. Juanita Yeager was featured in 2011. Maria Elkins was featured in 2012. Aisha Lumumba was featured in 2013. Bisa Butler was featured in 2014. Gyleen Fitzgerald and Joy Peters were featured in 2015.

The Atlanta Quilt Festival is held each year during the month of August at the South Fulton Arts Center, 4645 Butner Road, College Park, GA and at Hammonds House Museum, 503 Peeples Street, Atlanta, GA 30310.
